I start­ed this web­site as the media world has changed and it was time to take charge for myself.  News­pa­pers are on the way out and bud­gets are being cut all over the place in ‘conventional’ media, most­ly because the sport­ing con­ver­sa­tion can increas­ing­ly take place direct­ly between play­ers, jour­nal­ists and sup­port­ers with­out the need for a ‘middle man’ – con­ven­tion­al media.  I’m com­ing up to the 30^th anniver­sary of my first com­men­tary job (I start­ed young!) and the enthu­si­asm for the game and its rapid­ly chang­ing shape con­tin­ues unabated.  So it’s been a while, but now it’s here… my space.

We will keep it free and I hope you will engage with me. Send me your obser­va­tions and ques­tions and I’ll do my best to get back to you quick­ly and let you know what I’m hear­ing on the ground. There might be some spon­sors and adverts in time but, first and fore­most, this is an oppor­tu­ni­ty to share ideas and dis­cuss the top­ics of the moment.
